Voice for the Planet was a new, innovative and ambitious multi-channel advocacy collaboration between WWF and the World Economic Forum, which spanned physical, online, and social touch points.

Its purpose was to give people around the world a platform they could use to demonstrate their desire to see action for nature by adding their voice as a beacon of light to our interactive globe.

Davos

launch

The platform itself was launched onstage at WEF’s annual Davos event, by a panel including Sir David Attenborough and Al Gore.

Following its launch, an interactive Voice for the Planet installation was open to attendees directly outside the main hall through which participants could directly add their ‘voice’ to a 12ft tall globe projection via their mobile device.

The physical launch made way for a variety of online touchpoints, aimed to drive engagement and involvement, including:

  • An embeddable version of the Voice for the Planet ‘globe’ which was adopted by over 50 partners

  • An Instagram and Facebook Stories filter bring nature into people’s homes and allowing to express themselves in a more open way

  • A first-of-its-kind Twitter List petition allowing people to add their voice with a single click
