Untangled
Unpicking the complexities of the natural world
WWF’s new online series - ‘Untangled’ - sort to take people deeper on a journey of discovery into the world of nature and environmentalism.
Through compelling and engaging storytelling we aim to make the otherwise complex topics related to our natural world consumable, inspiring, and interesting.
Approachable by design
‘Untangled’ takes a new approach to educational content, by answering the questions people have in simple and direct ways.
More than just a new communication style, ‘Untangled’ has been produced to feel approachable and fun in its visuals.
The resulting design treatment was intentionally produced to give it a 'home-made' feel. The collage effect, illustrations, and playful transitions provide a level of intrigue that keeps the viewer engaged, whilst also demonstrating a human touch to the production.
It isn't polished and shiny. And that's a purposeful choice.

Topics for the films in the series are selected based on search and media trends, however, the videos themselves are produced to be evergreen giving; delivering high ROI and long-term value on the spend.
To date, nine films have been launched on the global WWF YouTube channel, with more in production.
All films produced are also repackaged into social-friendly formats for use on other channels and translated to make them accessible on international and regional accounts.
